Classes, book clubs, meetups, libraries

Bitcoin is easier to learn together.

This book started as a class, and it still works best in a room full of people asking questions. Here is what I offer groups.

15chapters, one per meeting or two at a time
4–7Check yourself statements per chapter
1fair objection per chapter, ready to debate
3generations at the kitchen table
Who it is for

Four kinds of groups, one book

Lifelong learning classes

Built from my OLLI course. Each chapter has outcomes, a check at the end, and activities that work on a phone in class.

Book clubs

The kitchen table scenes and the fair objections give every meeting something to argue about, kindly.

Bitcoin meetups

Hand it to the newcomer who keeps asking the same first questions. Chapter 15 is about becoming the person who helps.

Libraries

Patrons ask librarians about Bitcoin. This is a plain, balanced answer for the shelf, with no price predictions.

Why I teach it

I teach the Bitcoin Basics course at UNLV’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and wrote Your Bitcoin Basics from that class. Before Bitcoin, I spent 25 years designing adult learning for companies, and I hold a PhD in Applied Behavioral Studies. My sessions are interactive, practical and built so a room of beginners leaves confident.
